Authorities of Poland and the European Union and Consumer Protection Laws

Consumer protection is one of the broadest terms in the literature. It is an inseparable element of transactions concluded by European Union citizens. To properly protect consumer rights, regulations are issued in Poland and throughout the European Union. The aim of the work is to present the most important provisions regarding consumer protection, divided into national and EU law, together with organizations which help protect consumers in the European Union. The most important bodies and organizations include the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the European Commission and the European Consumer Centers.

Ochrona konsumentów jest jednym z najszerszych terminów w literaturze. Stanowi ona nieodłączny element transakcji zawieranych przez obywateli Unii Europejskiej. Aby dobrze chronić prawa konsumentów wydawane są przepisy obowiązujące w Polsce jak i całej Unii Europejskiej. Praca ma na celu przedstawienie najważniejszych przepisów dotyczących ochrony konsumentów z podziałem na prawo krajowe oraz unijne wraz z organizacjami, które pomagają chronić konsumentów na terenie Unii Europejskiej. Do najważniejszych organów i organizacji zaliczymy Prezesa Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów , Komisję Europejską czy Europejskie Centra Konsumenckie.
