The toponyms and microtoponyms of the former German language island Bielitz (Bielsko)
The former German Language Island Bielitz/Bielsko in Silesia was grounded in the 13th century and expelled after the WWII. It consisted of the city of Bielitz/Bielsko and surrounding German villages. Its German based microtoponymes are not sufficient examined. Some of them had old Polish equivalents, some original German toponyms are taken over as loan words by the Polish language (for example: Nipperbach – Niper, Trikzelwald – Troclik, Kromparek).
