Flint stone materials from the Neolithic and the Bronze Epoch from the site 5, 5a, 5b in Krakow-Nowa Huta-Wyciąże : (research in the years 1988-1997)
Flint artefacts found during the excavations conducted at the site 5, 5A, 5B in Krakow-Nowa Huta-Wyciąże is a collection of 620 specimens. The chipped flint inventory consists of artefacts dated from the early Neolithic to the Bronze Age. Basing on the previous knowledge of characteristic features of flint artefacts and the pottery co-occurring on the discussed site, it was connected to the Linear Band Pottery culture, the Wyciąże-Złotniki group, the Wyciąże group, the Baden culture and the Bronze Age. Detailed descriptions of flint artefacts, combined with the application of the dynamic analysis method allowed for reconstructing the complete manufacturing process, and thus for attributing flint artefacts to its individual stages, from obtaining the raw material to acquiring the final product (tools).
