Successes and failures of the State Police in the practice of suppressing mass protests in 1930-1935

Artykuł stanowi próbę ukazania sukcesów i porażek Policji Państwowej związanych z praktyką zwalczania przez tę formację masowych wystąpień ludności w latach 1930-1935. W pierwszej części tekstu pokrótce opisana została ogólna sytuacja Policji Państwowej w badanym okresie, w drugiej natomiast przedstawiono ogólny schemat jej działań wobec masowych wystąpień ludności. Liczbę interwencji Policji Państwowej w latach 1930-1935 przedstawiono na tle całokształtu zjawiska buntu społecznego. W ten sposób możliwa stała się próba określenia skali podejmowanych przez policję działań.

The article is an attempt to show the successes and failures of the State Police related to the organization's practice of suppressing people's mass demonstrations in 1930-1935. The first part of the text briefly describes the general situation of the State Police in the studied period, while the second part shows the general scheme of the police's actions against people's mass demonstrations. The number of State Police interventions in 1930-1935 is presented in the context of the general phenomenon of social revolt. In this way, it became possible to attempt to determine the scale of the actions taken by the police.
