Classification of dictionary entries for the thematic field of gender

The purpose of this article is to present the problems and research questions that arise during thematic classification of dictionary entries. It can be seen very clearly in the case of classification of the thematic field of gender. The author describes the functioning of this field in different thematic classifications and then tries to indicate the approximate number of names in which we can discern the determinants of gender and extract semantic groups in which information about gender seems to be prime and therefore important from the perspective of the thematic typology, as well as those in which - even if it occurs - is peripheral and therefore irrelevant for the thematic division.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie problemów i wątpliwości badawczych, jakie pojawiają się podczas klasyfikacji tematycznej haseł słownikowych. Widać to bardzo wyraźnie w wypadku klasyfikacji do pola tematycznego Ťpłećť. Autorka opisuje funkcjonowanie tego pola w różnych klasyfikacjach tematycznych, a następnie próbuje wskazać orientacyjną liczbę nazw, w których dopatrywać się możemy wyznaczników płci, i wyodrębnić grupy semantyczne, w których informacja o płci wydaje się pierwszoplanowa, a więc ważna z punktu widzenia typologii tematycznej, a także te, w których choć występuje, jest drugoplanowa, a więc nieistotna dla podziału tematycznego.
