(Title in Polish - 'O podzialach spolecznych w miescie. Perspektywa klasowa zamiast tozsamosciowej w analizie nierównosci spolecznych mieszkanców Wroclawia'). The author discusses the problem of social inequality in big Polish cities. He bases his reflections on the results of empirical studies carried out in Wroclaw. His main thesis is that there is a growing connection between the urban space and the class-cultural differentiation between the inhabitants of various parts of the city. His reflections refer to the tradition of sociological critical reflection.
