All concept calculations that are made for smoke management system need to be done based on design building shape analysis. Very important is to verify all manual calculations by CFD on a preliminary design stage and by hot smoke tests on as-build stage. CFD simulations are very helpful in verification of assumed hot smoke exhaust efficiency. Hot smoke tests are also very important, especially in verification of smoke control system that detects of fire and controls many important devices like smoke curtain, fire dumpers and shutters or any other in case of fire.
