Nowadays the quality of knowledge, gained competences and presented attitudes has a growing importance because they determine the future officers' development, and influence their successes and failures. Continual progress in many fields and disciplines of science causes some parts of knowledge to lose their legitimacy. Ways of maintaining the quality of education, and raising the effectiveness of studies should be found. The proper use of already acquired knowledge both by academic teacher and student (officer) is vital. It seems that it is not knowledge or abilities o f academic teachers but their attitude that will play a deciding role. Treating the student with respect, dignity and a certain degree of freedom will foster a good rapport with the teacher.
