Microcontroller based impedance meter with host computer control

This article covers the idea of a low cost impedance meter based on an AD5933 IC from Analog Devices, controlled by an ARM based microprocessor, communicating through a standard UART interface. A complete design flow is presented, starting from a concept, through the design of the printed circuit board and source coding for the ARM, ending on an LabView based application for the PC.
