Stan i perspektywy światowego rynku ropy naftowej na przełomie pierwszych dekad XXI wieku

Artykuł jest próbą przedstawienia syntetycznego obrazu rynku ropy naftowej przedstawionego na szerszym tle zmian ekonomicznych na świecie na przełomie pierwszych dekad XXI wieku i udziału ropy w światowym bilansie energetycznym. Autor ukazał głównych producentów, konsumentów oraz importerów i eksporterów ropy naftowej na świecie wraz z zachodzącymi w tym zakresie zmianami - wzrost zużycia w krajach BRIC oraz spadek w wysoko uprzemysłowionych krajach Europy Zachodniej. Ponadto poruszona została kwestia występowania różnego typu złóż ropy naftowej oraz kształtowania się kosztów jej wydobycia. W artykule przedstawiona została również sprawa kształtowania się cen ropy naftowej oraz detalicznych cen paliw płynnych. Swoje miejsce w tekście znalazły również kwestie wyczerpywalności światowych zasobów ropy naftowej a także niekonwencjonalnych sposobów zwiększania pozyskiwania ropy naftowej. Autor przedstawił również prognozy gospodarczo-demograficzne i skorelowane z nimi prognozy światowego zapotrzebowania na energię wraz z podziałem na różne jej źródła.

The article is an attempt of presenting concise picture of the crude oil market in the wider context of the economic changes in the world at the turn of the first decades of the XXI century and the crude oil share in the global energy balance. The author has depicted main crude oil producers, consumers, importers and exporters in the world, together with the changes occurring in this field - increased consumption in the BRIC countries and the decrease in consumption in the highly industrialised countries of the Western Europe. Moreover, there is a matter of various types of crude oil deposits and the shape of their exploitation costs. The article also presents the problem of crude oil prices fluctuation and the retail prices of the liquid fuels. There is also mention of the depletion of the global crude oil deposits and also non-conventional methods of increasing the crude oil production. The author has presented also the economic and demographic forecasts and related to them forecasts of the world energy demand together with the differentiation between its various sources.
