Opisano historię, przyczyny i procesy degradacji obiektu mostowego w Krościenku. Most oddany do użytkowania w 1934 roku przetrwał okres wojny i wielkie powodzie bez remontów do 2010 roku. Przedstawiono wyniki badań doświadczalnych materiału (beton i stal zbrojeniowa) pobranego podczas demontażu mostu spowodowanego stopniem jego degradacji i niedostatecznymi parametrami nośności.

The paper is focused on the issue of structure’s durability. The history, causes and degradation processes of the bridge structure in Krościenko are described. RC-monolithic bridge constructed in 1934 has survived the war and the great floods without repair until 2010. The research results of bridge materials (concrete and steel reinforcement samples) are presented. The concrete and steel reinforcement samples were taken during disassembly of bridge, which causes its advanced degradation stage and decrease of beam load capacity.
