Lotniskowy system zarządzania kryzysowego
Aviation, especially air force and military aviation, shows a great and increasing technological progress achieved during the last century. This progress would not be possible without parallel activities in the aviation security and safety area. The notion of security and safety concerns both maintaining the air complex (aircraft, airport equipment and facilities along with their systems, subsystems, sets and elements), selection of personnel, organization of the management system, meteorological support, creating plans and procedures of operation etc. Security and safety include also the expectations towards air and support personnel of professional approach to perform the mission and eliminate threats. In particular, the task to neutralize threats is utterly difficult in such a complex system as a military airport. Therefore, in the time of appearing new threats, a series of extraordinary, systemic (interdisciplinary) operations are performed on the airbase level, called crisis management. In reference to a military airport, crisis management can be defined as a deliberate and systematic activity of the flying and support personnel to limit or eliminate threats affecting the security and safety of air operations and further existence of the organization (airbase). One-step delay may lead to tragic consequences. Therefore, the aim of the article is to find an answer to the question how to improve crisis management system so that it would counteract crisis situations effectively.
