W artykule omówiono problemy transportu w miastach polskich, które są elementem systemu transportowego całego kraju. Im system transportowy miast jest sprawniejszy, tym sprawniejszy jest system transportowy kraju. Zwrócono uwagę na rolę, jaką pełni system transportowy w miastach, wskazano na jego aktualne problemy. W dalszej części omówiono politykę transportową państwa w szczególności z uwzględnieniem tej części, która dotyczy miast. Na końcu przedstawiono Krajową Politykę Miejską 2023, jej założenia i cele.

Paper discussed the transport problems of Polish cities, which are element of transport system of all country. If the transport system of cities is efficient than transport system of country is more efficient. The role of transport system of cities and actual problems in mentioned area were stressed. Furthermore, transport policy of country referring cities part were discussed. In the end the National Municipal Policy 2023 and its objectives and assumptions were presented.
