The employer’s general duty to assess and prevent occupational risk resulting from exposure to noise is established in European regulations and in Polish law adapted to those regulations. This paper presents the rules of risk estimation by determining the likelihood of the occurrence of negative consequences of exposure to noise and the degree of their severity.
