Praktyka malarsko-rysunkowa po pierwszym roku architektury : jej rola i miejsce w programie studiów

Architecture is the only "artistic" faculty in the Politechnical University of Cracow. The effect of working with students on drawing and painting are visible within the whole university, as well as in other schools and institutions. The type of student creativity, i.e. painting, drawing, determines one of the essential elements in shaping artistic awereness of future architects. The articles answers the question: where from, for example, comes such a final effect of working with the students; what lays at the base of such results; what are the expectations and difficulties in reaching that? One of the source of achieving good results is the summer course of drawing and painting, which is a part of the study program. The course, with its schedule, has a tradition of many years standing, and has been guided by well known, in the country and abroad, artists and educators. The verified frame of the program supplied considerate number of unrestricted possibilities of conducting the study. The attributes, which concern not only painting, are familiar to to architects and help students visualize and comprehend metamorphosis of a spatial, architectural invention, to a coloristic composition on the surface of painting. At the time of individual corrections, a significant emphasis is set on developing students imagination, which is the guarantee of their creative work.
