Emulsions in cosmetics and medicine

The function of surfactants in obtaining kinetically stable emulsions, methods of obtaining multiphase emulsions and their utilization in the production of cosmetics and pharmaceutics are presented, together with experimental results of structure, stability and rheological properties investigations for some commercial emulsion products as well as for the emulsions obtained in the laboratory.

Omówiono rolę środków powierzchniowo czynnych w otrzymywaniu stabilnych kinetycznie emulsji, metody otrzymywania emulsji wielofazowych i ich zastosowanie w produkcji preparatów kosmetycznych i środków farmakologicznych oraz przedstawiono wyniki badań struktury, stabilności oraz właściwości reologicznych kilku typów emulsji komercyjnych oraz otrzymanych laboratoryjnie.
