W pracy rozważa się sposób oceny niezawodności systemów komputerowych metodą drzew uszkodzeń. Przedmiotem badań są systemy komputerowe ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem sieci komputerowych. Opracowano proces analizy drzewa uszkodzeń oraz przedstawiono symbolikę stosowaną w metodzie. Dokonano oceny metody w zastosowaniach do badań niezawodnościowych sieci komputerowych.

One of the ways to determine the failure of the system is the fault trees method. System model in form of fault tree describes the influence of particular elements of system on the failure of the whole system. An important problem arisen in the use of the fault trees method is the reduction of the tree graph in such way that there are no dependable events on each level of the tree. This problem is especially noticeable in computer systems. This work describes the way of evaluating the reliability of computer systems using fault trees method. The objects of research are computer systems with particular stress on computer networks with different functional structures. In each network structure there are levels on which transmission and processing take place. From the point of view of the fault tree method important is the existence of way of connecting the computers and the fact that the receiving computer is working correctly or not. This work shows the process of analysing the fault tree and the symbols used in the method. The analysis of the method was done in view of reliability of computer networks research.
