Investigating an influence of adsorption of gear oil additives on operational surface layer creation in the mixed lubrication regime

In this paper presented mechanism of lubricating additives sorption in boundary lubrication.The analysis of this mechanism leads to coclusions, that the structure of boundary layer can be divided on two types:antiwear(AW) and EP. In relation to four-ball antowear test, the participatoon of each structure of boundary layer was calculated on the basic of &i -metod>The coarsenses of wear scars,obtained during this test, was measured as well and it was concluded that intercase of surface coarsenses can be connected with increase of EP layer participation.This relation was confirmed by information about the mechanism of ZDTP sorption and polisulphides types od additives.
