The following article presents requirements for a device, named exoskeleton, its applications and construction types. Types of drives possible to use as well as a advantages and disadvantages are compared. The concept of the mechanical structure together with given object kinematics (movement capabilities of individual parts) are presented. Measurement elements possible to use and their division by specialization are also referred to.
