Okres ostatnich kilku lat stanowi dla PKP ciąg ustawicznego zmagania się z nieznanymi dotychczas zadaniami. Nastąpiły zmiany ilościowe i jakościowe na rynku transportowym. Wynikła stąd konieczność zreformowania przedsiębiorstwa oraz opracowania nowej strategii rozwoju. W artykule przedstawiono uwagi dotykające problemu odpowiedzialności państwa za odbudowę i rozwój kolejnictwa w Polsce. Period of last few years has been the course of constant struggling with new tasks for the PKP. Quantitative and qualitative changes have followed on the transport market. Necessity of reforming the firm and working out the new development strategy has been arised. The article presents observations about problem of responsibility of the state for reconstruction and development of railway transport in Poland.
