Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix analysis during the strategic planning of Government Administration Systems (GAIS)

This paper deals the BCG matrix analysis during the Strategic Planning of the Government Administration Information Systems (GAIS) a selected group of Information Systems: Customs Administration Information System (CAIS), Tax Administration Information Systems (TAIS), Treasury Information Systems (TRIS) and Local Government Information Systems (LGIS). This selection is regarded as the representative corpus of GAIS members to support the Government Administration (GA). The characteristics of the GA members are mentioned as well: main aim, importance, non profit making, availability, privacy and confidentiality, complexity, common data bases, interconnections, fast grow, international profile, changes, vulnerability, education and the high costs. BCG matrix analyses are made on the activity level of GA members. The possible BCG matrix of GA on the activity level is discussed as well.

Artykuł poświęcony jest omówieniu zastosowania analizy macierzowej według BCG przy planowaniu startegicznym systemu informacyjnego administracji państwowej dla wybranych systemów informatycznych: ceł, podatków, skarbu i wewnętrznego systemu informacyjnego. Wybrane systemy stanowią trzon systemu informacyjnego administracji państwowej - bez nich działanie tego ostatniego nie jest możliwe.
