Study of combined marine electrical power system with different type of generators

In this paper, main shaft generation system and exhaust gas turbo-generation system, which are always applied to large ocean ship as means of saving fuel consumption, are analyzed respectively using method of simulation. Then, based on the aforementioned analysis, a kind of combined generation system, consists of diesel generators, main shaft generator of converter type and exhaust gas turbo-generator, is designed in order to save fuel consumption more effectively. Simultaneously, its contributions to the reliability of electric power supply and the safety of the ship when the main engine is working under fault conditions are discussed.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane wyniki badań symulacyjnych różnych konfiguracji elektrowni okrętowych wyposażonych w tradycyjne zespoły prądotwórcze, prądnicę wałową i turbogenerator. Badania prowadzono pod kątem uzyskania optymalnej konfiguracji elektrowni okrętowej, z punktu widzenia jej energooszczędnej i możliwie niezawodnej eksploatacji, szczególnie w sytuacjach awaryjnych.
