E-learning as a modern teaching tool

This article presents one of the most important e-learning distance learning tools. Areas of application, its advantages and disadvantages and limitations are discussed. Definitions of the following are provided: Learning Management System and Learning Content Management System. In addition, e-learning standards are outlined, particularly the SCORM standard for military use. The summary highlights the need for improving one’s self-learning skills useful in e-learning.
