Górnictwo węgla kamiennego w Polsce w 2016 roku

The article presents the results of the hard coal mining industry in 2016 in the core areas of operation of hard coal mining. The presented results cover the entire hard coal mining sector, i.e. mining companies with the State Treasury's share and private companies conducting mining operations. In 2016, there were significant trends in the hard coal mining sector, especially those related to restructuring, which translated into improvement of basic economic indicators of the sector. In 2016, especially all the basic elements of the financial result of the mining sector were improved, with the reduction of employment and taking advantage by the employees of the mining social package, while a simultaneous, significant decrease in the sector's liabilities.
