Concept of the Energy Flow Model in an Electric Car
The article presents the concept of the energy flow model in an electric vehicle. The object of the study was the Nissan Leaf vehicle equipped with the AC synchronous motor. Energy flow model of the electric vehicle describes energy consumption in different road conditions. In order to record a decision problem in a mathematical form, invariable parameters were determined while solving a problem, decision variables - sought quantities, the limitations expressed in the form of algebraic equations. After identifying the variables, the decision variable was designated, which was the energy flow (energy consumption) in individual elements of the electric car drive system. Relations in the article describe the total energy consumption of the vehicle in various road conditions. The thermodynamic parameter (external temperature), operating parameters (acceleration, vehicle speed) and route characteristics (elevation slope) have been taken into account.
