Materials for energy systems − market aspects

The paper presents the expected development of the global energy market and the current state and prospects of particular energy technologies. Factors determining the competitiveness of these technologies are discussed. Then materials developed under the project New materials for energy systems (NewMat), intended for different energy technologies as well as renewable energy storage and conversion, are characterized. Expected development of the properties of these materials and forecasted markets are reviewed.

W artykule przedstawiono przewidywany rozwój światowego rynku energii oraz aktualny stan i perspektywy poszczególnych technologii wytwarzania energii. Omówiono czynniki określające konkurencyjność tych technologii. Następnie scharakteryzowano materiały opracowywane w ramach projektu Nowe materiały dla systemów energetycznych (NewMat), przeznaczone dla poszczególnych technologii produkcji energii oraz magazynowania energii odnawialnej. Omówiono przewidywany rozwój własności tych materiałów oraz prognozowane rynki.
