Przeszłość zapisana w słowach. Analiza kwartalnika „Przegląd Tatarski”

Głównym przedmiotem zainteresowania w tym tekście jest opis i analiza treści i zawartości „Przeglądu Tatarskiego”. Chodzi o to, aby pokazać, w jaki sposób przeszłość jest używana przez autorów w celu budowania etniczności tatarskiej wspólnoty. W artykule zaprezentowane zostaną problemy, dotyczące prasy etnicznej i jej znaczenia dla funkcjonowania społeczności mniejszościowych oraz relacji między etnicznością a przeszłością. W zasadniczej części tekstu pokazane zostaną główne wątki, dotyczące przeszłości, które pojawiają się w tym czasopiśmie. Analizy pozwalają stwierdzić, że odniesienie do odległej, jak i bliższej przeszłości, w różnych jej formach, pozwala na określenie, kim są polscy Tatarzy, jacy są oraz skąd pochodzą. Umożliwia to budowanie narracji o ciągłości istnienia grupy na przestrzeni wieków i lat, co daje oraz wzmacnia zwrotnie poczucie tożsamości etnicznej, tak ważnej dla zachowania odrębności przez etnokulturowe społeczności mniejszościowe

The main focus of this text is description and analysis of the content of the Tatar Review in order to show how the past is used by the authors to build the ethnicity of the Tatar community. This article presents problems related to the ethnic press and its role for the functioning of minority communities, then the relationship between ethnicity and the past and, in essence, the aim is to show the main themes concerning the past that appear in this magazine. The analyses allow us to conclude that reference to the distant and more recent past, in its various forms, allows us to determine who Polish Tatars are, what they are like and where they come from. It enables building a narrative about the continuity of the group’s existence over centuries and years, which gives and strengthens the sense of ethnic identity, which is so important for maintaining the distinctiveness of ethno cultural minority communities.
