Whole-body_vibration_in_adults_with_hypermobility
The main objective of the study was to evaluate the short-term effects of whole-body vibration training with two different frequencies (15 Hz and 30 Hz) on postural stability in young adults with generalized join hypermobility compared to the control groups.
The primary outcome measure was the Overall Stability Index (OSI) on the Biodex Balance System SD (Biodex Medical Systems, Shirley, NY, USA).
Groups underwent the whole-body vibration and were trained using a Galileo Med35 platform (Novotec Medical GmbH, Pforzheim, Germany). The program lasted 2 weeks with three training days per week. During the first week, the vibration frequency was 15 Hz, and during the second week, it was 30 Hz to produce the highest frequency.
