The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). The photo depicts a robust elderly man with moustache who is sitting in a chair in front of a hut with a small boy on his knee. Standing next to him is another small boy who is holding his hand on the man's knee. On the right, next to the man, there is a standing woman who is visibly pregnant. The photo was taken in front of a thatched timber cottage. According to the photo's owner, it was taken in 1938 and depicts her father Marian (the boy first from the left), grandfather Michał with her father's brother - Jan (the boy on the man's lap); standing next to them is grandmother Katarzyna. Behind them there is the cottage who belong to the photo owner's great grandparents, where his father also grew up

Fotografia przedstawia postawnego, starszego mężczyznę z wąsem siedzącego na krześle przed chałupą z mały chłopcem na kolanie. Obok niego stoi drugi kilkuletni chłopiec trzymający rękę na kolanie mężczyzny. Po prawej stronie, przy mężczyźnie stoi kobieta w zaawansowanej ciąży. Fotografię wykonano na tle drewnianej chałupy krytej strzechą. Według właścicielki zdjęcia zostało ono zrobione w 1938 roku i przedstawia jej ojca Mariana (chłopiec pierwszy z lewej), dziadka Michała z bratem ojca - Janem (chłopiec na kolanach), obok babcia Katarzyna. Za nimi chata pradziadków właścicielki zdjęcia, gdzie wychował się również jej ojciec
