Village children] [An iconographic document

The photo depicts a group of village children posing for the camera in autumn, outdoors, under a tree and next to a wooden fence. The children are dressed in warm clothes; the girls are wearing headscarves and the boys are in hats. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts the village of Opole and children from that village, who – already familiar with the notion of war, sometimes hungry, some of them lacking proper clothes – wished to have a keepsake photo taken of them. Fotografia przedstawia grupę dzieci wiejskich pozujących do zdjęcia jesienią, w plenerze pod drzewem przy drewnianym płocie. Dzieci ubrane w cieplejszą odzież, dziewczynki w chustach na głowach, chłopcy w czapkach. Według właścicielki zdjęcia przedstawia ono wieś Opole oraz dzieci z tej wsi, które wiedząc już co to znaczy wojna, niekiedy głodne, inne niemające dobrze w co się ubrać zapragnęły mieć pamiątkowe zdjęcie. Na tym zdjęciu jest mama właścicielki zdjęcia i jej koledzy i koleżanki
