The photo depicts two women posing for a photo in a stylish interior (a stylized photographic studio?). Both women are elegantly dressed. One of them is sitting in a high chair with her hand leaning against a table and is holding a book on her knees. She is wearing a long dress with a patterned top. The other woman is standing behind her. She is wearing a long dark dress and a string of light-coloured beads tied in a knot. At the back of the photo there is an inscription saying: “Katarzyna (…) and Helena (…) an organist’s maid in Stary Zamość. Year 1916”. According to its owner, the photo depicts two friends, residents of Stary Zamość

Fotografia przedstawia dwie młode kobiety pozujące do zdjęcia w stylowym wnętrzu (stylizowanym atelier?). Obie kobiety elegancko ubrane. Jedna z nich siedzi na wysokim krześle z ręką opartą na stoliku, na kolanach trzyma książkę. Ubrana jest w długą sukienkę z wzorzystą górą. Druga kobieta stoi za nią w ciemnej, długiej sukni i jasnych zawiązanych w węzeł koralach. Na odwrocie zdjęcia inskrypcja: "Katarzyna (...) i Helena (...) służąca u organisty w Starym Zamościu. Rok 1916". Według właściciela zdjęcia przedstawia ono dwie koleżanki, mieszkanki Starego Zamościa
