Contract in family therapy : some selected problems

Kontrakt terapeutyczny jest w terapii rodzin czymś trudnym, a zarazem kluczowym dla powodzenia terapii. Jednocześnie rzadko się na ten temat pisze i dyskutuje. Poniższe uwagi mają charakter refleksji nad praktycznymi trudnościami związanymi z zawieraniem kontraktu w terapii rodzin.

The author presents - on the basis of his own experience, the importance of therapeutic contract in family therapy and difficulties and challenges therapists and families are facing. The author stresses that the contract is a process and describes circumstances causing the first meetings with therapists to be extremely difficult experiences. The therapist may overlook the family’s difficulty. The contract has to do not only with the goals of therapy but the ways of the therapeutic work as well. In the paper, the author is describing the traps the therapist is exposed to during the contracting a therapy and contexts in which the contract failed. Paradoxes and factors specific for contract in family therapy (in opposite to the other forms of psychotherapy) are presented.
