Tematem pracy jest teoretyczna prezentacja zagadnienia wysiłkowego nietrzymania moczu w następujących aspektach: etiologia, diagnoza i metody leczenia. W pierwszej części pracy znajduje się opis ogólnej anatomii systemu moczowego u kobiet wraz ze schematem jego funkcjonowania, podkreślającym fizjologiczny mechanizm trzymania moczu. W następnych partiach pracy rozważany jest bardziej szczegółowo proces diagnozy: wywiad medyczny, medyczne badanie fizykalne, test wkładki domacicznej, test urodynamiczny, cystouretroskopia. Następnie jest o metodach leczenia, nieinwazyjnych i inwazyjnych. Te pierwsze to: zmiana stylu życia, elektrostymulacja, stymulacja magnetyczna, terapia behawioralna, pesaria. Na końcu opisana została inwazyjna (chirurgiczna) metoda leczenia wysiłkowego nietrzymania moczu u kobiet.

The subject of the thesis is the theoretical presentation of the effort incontinence issue in its following aspects: aetiology, diagnostics and treatment methods. In the first part there is a description of general anatomy of urinary system in women and a schema of its functioning specially focused on the issue of physiological urinary continence mechanism. Following parts of the thesis considering in a more details the process of diagnostics: medical interview, physical medical examination, intrauterine device test (IUDT), urodynamic test, cystouretroscopy. Next are about treatments methods which are non-invasive procedures. The first one are: changing of live style, electrostimulation, magnetic stimulation, behavioural therapy, pesarry. In the and there are presented a description of the invasive procedures (surgery) for the effort incontinence.
