Wybrane zagadnienia z historii Reformacji na Śląsku Cieszyńskim w epoce nowożytnej

Niniejsza praca ma służyć przybliżeniu historii i specyfiki religijnej Księstwa Cieszyńskiego. Regionu, w którym Reformacja osiągnęła bardzo wielkie wpływy już w pierwszej połowi XVI wieku i utrzymała się tam po dziś dzień, pomimo silnej kontrreformacji. Rozdział pierwszy mówi o początkach reformacji w księstwie i o jej szybkim rozwoju pod panowaniem Piastów cieszyńskich. Drugi rozdział dotyczy kontrreformacji i walki z protestantami, począwszy od 1610 roku, aż po koniec XVII stulecia. W trzecim rozdziale zawarta jest geneza powstania Kościoła Jezusowego w Cieszynie i kwestie związane z jego budową. Czwarty rozdział to omówienie Patentu Tolerancyjnego z 1781 roku i przedstawienie nowo powstałych kościołów, które powstały dzięki niemu.

This composition is serving as an example of religion specificity and history the Duchy of Teschen. Region in which Reformation has achieved a large influence in the first half of the sixteenth century and exists to this day despite Counterreformation. The first chapter tells about the beginning of Reformation in the principality and about its fast expansion under the rule of the Cieszynian Piasts. The second chapter concerns Counterreformation and the struggle against Protestants from 1610 to the end of the seventeenth century. The third chapter includes genesis of The Jesus’s Church foundation in Cieszyn and issues related to its constructing. The fourth chapter broaches a topic of Patent of Tolerance of 1781 and presents protestants churches created on the strength of this act.
