The pastoral activity in the prison environment

The purpose which I had in mind writing this paper is to give an understanding of the issue of pastoral work in the penitentiary units that are not just limited to religious services but has a wider dimension, is one of the important elements of penitentiary. Because of its simplicity, the offer made by the pastoral care is the most attractive form of assistance to prisoners, inmates of absolute deprivation of liberty. The publication is in particular addressed to those directly involved in the process of detention. The thesis may also be interesting for curatorial services, students of law, psychology and pedagogy.

Prezentowana praca magisterska jest próbą refleksji nad rolą duszpasterstwa więziennego w pracy penitencjarnej. Cel, jaki przyświecał mi podczas pisania niniejszej pracy, jest przybliżenie problematyki pracy duszpasterskiej na terenie jednostek penitencjarnych, który nie ogranicza się tylko do samej posługi religijnej, ale ma szerszy wymiar-jest jednym z ważnych elementów oddziaływania penitencjarnego. Oferta ze strony duszpasterstwa przez swoją prostotę jest najbardziej atrakcyjną formą pomocy dla skazanych, odbywających karę bezwzględnego pozbawienia wolności. Publikacja jest adresowana w szczególności do środowiska uczestniczącego bezpośrednio w procesie wykonywania kary pozbawienia wolności. Praca może zainteresować także służbę kuratorską, studentów prawa, psychologii oraz pedagogiki.
