The influence of the skin lesions in atopic dermatitis on the quality of the patients lives

Wstęp: Atopowe zapalenie skóry (AZS) jest jedną z najczęstszych zapalnych chorób dermatologicznych o przewlekłym, nawrotowym przebiegu. Charakteryzuje się zmianami wypryskowymi oraz uporczywym świądem. W ostatnich latach obserwuje się wzrost zachorowań na atopowe zapalenie skóry. Cel: Celem pracy było zbadanie wpływu zmian skórnych występujących w przebiegu atopowego zapalenia skóry na jakość życia chorych. Materiał – metody: W pracy zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego, narzędziem badawczym był kwestionariusz ankiety własnego autorstwa. Badaniem objętych zostało 40 osób. Wyniki: Obniżeniu uległo samopoczucie i nastrój badanych, ograniczone zostały kontakty towarzyskie, a także wykonywanie codziennych czynności. Wielu badanych miało trudności z wykonywaniem prawidłowo obowiązków w pracy i na studiach. Choroba nie wywarła natomiast w dużym stopniu negatywnego wpływu na relację z rodziną i partnerem.Wnioski: Analiza wyników badań wykazała negatywny wpływ atopowego zapalenia skóry na jakość życia chorych.

Introduction: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most frequent chronic and recurrent inflammatory skin disease. It is characterized by eczema and persistent itching. In recent years the number of people suffering from atopic dermatitis has been growing.Aim: The aim of this study was to analyze influence of skin lesions on quality of life.Material and methods: The research was conducted with the method of diagnostic survey with the use of the self-made questionnaire. 40 people were subjects of the research.Results: The level of mood and comfort were decreased, as well as quality of social life. Fulfilling the regular, common duties happened to be more difficult. Many of respondents felt that proper carrying out of their responsibilities connected with work or studying is a lot harder. The disease have not affected their relationship with families and partners.Conclusion: The analysis of the research results shows negative influence of the atopic dermatitis on the quality of the patients lives.
