The joke as a linguistic realization of the stereotypical perception of women

Niniejsza praca omawia zagadnienie dowcipu, jako językowej realizacji stereotypowego postrzegania kobiet. Pierwsza część przybliża pojęcie językowego obrazu świata. Część druga zawiera porównanie definicji stereotypu w ujęciu językoznawczym i socjologicznym, ze szczególnym naciskiem na stereotyp kobiety w języku. W ostatniej części pracy zostają poddane analizie przykłady dowcipów językowych, którym motywem przewodnim jest stereotypowy wizerunek kobiety.

The following thesis discusses the issue of wit as a linguistic realization of the stereotypical perception of women. The first part introduces the concept of linguistic picture of the world. The second part compares the definition of the stereotype in terms of linguistics and sociology, with particular emphasis on the stereotype of women in language. The last part of the work is analyzed in examples of linguistic jokes which is the theme of the stereotypical image of women.
