"Przegląd Sportowy" – monografia pisma w latach 1921-1939

This study is a part of growing body of resaerch on the history of Polish sport press. The aim of this thesis is to answer the question about the role and place of Przegląd Sportowy in the sport press of the 1920’s and 1930’s. It presents an analysis of the contents of the interwar-issues of the journal. It has been proven that sports magazine is an excellent source of current information, a reflection of everyday life. Biographical profiles of athletes and sports journalists who played a major role in the history of the interwar sport press, sports and culture are presented. The study was based on an analysis of the literature, with particular emphasis put on the issues of Przegląd Sportowy and website of this magazine. The topic has not been fully covered, and the richness of source materials allows for further research.

Praca jest częścią większych badań nad historią polskiej prasy sportowej. Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej jest odpowiedź na pytanie o rolę i miejsce Przeglądu Sportowego w prasie sportowej lat 20 i 30 lat XX w. Przedstawiono analizę zawartości międzywojennych numerów czasopisma. Udowodniono, że pismo sportowe jest doskonałym źródłem informacji bieżącej, odzwierciedleniem życia codziennego. Zaprezentowano sylwetki biograficzne sportowców i dziennikarzy sportowych, którzy odegrali ważną rolę w historii międzywojennej prasy sportowej, sportu i kultury narodowej. Badania oparto na analizie piśmiennictwa, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem numerów Przeglądu Sportowego oraz serwisu internetowego omawianego czasopisma. Problematyka pracy nie została zakończona i ze względu na bogaty materiał źródłowy skłania do dalszych badań.
