The thesis concerns the beginnings of the Iranian Safavid dynasty. It includes times from the conquests of Tamerlane in the last years of his life and the political situation after his death, through the history of the establishment of the Sufi order Safawijje and its transformation under the influence of the successive leaders, to the reign and death of the first of the rulers of the Safavid Dynasty – Isma’il I.
