OPERATIONAL NURSING TEAMS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE DISEASES THYROID TREATED WITH SURGICAL

Thyroid diseases are a major health and social problem because 20% of the Polish population suffer for it. The aim of the undertaken research was to acquiring the knowledge of operational nursing teams on the surgical treatment of thyroid diseases. The theoretical part of the document contains data on the anatomy and physiology of the thyroid gland and thyroid disease diagnosis and clinical basis of selected diseases. This document also describes the surgical treatment of thyroid diseases and possible complications. The first part also contains a section that defines the role of nurses in the care of patients treated surgically for thyroid disorders.Research part includes research hypotheses, the characteristics of the study group and the test results. Completion of the work are the conclusions reached on the basis of the research.

Choroby tarczycy stanowią istotny problem zdrowotny i społeczny, gdyż cierpi na nie 20% populacji Polaków. Celem podjętej pracy badawczej było poznanie wiedzy pielęgniarskich zespołów operacyjnych, na temat schorzeń tarczycy leczonych zabiegowo. W części teoretycznej pracy zawarto dane dotyczące anatomii i fizjologii gruczołu tarczycy, a także diagnostyki schorzeń tarczycy oraz podstawy kliniczne wybranych chorób. Praca opisuje również chirurgiczne metody leczenia schorzeń tego gruczołu i możliwe powikłania. Część pierwsza pracy zawiera również rozdział definiujący rolę pielęgniarek w opiece nad pacjentem leczonym operacyjnie z powodu schorzeń tarczycy. Część badawcza pracy zawiera m.in. hipotezy badawcze, charakterystykę badanej grupy oraz wyniki badań. Zakończenie pracy stanowią wnioski wysnute na podstawie uzyskanych badań.
