Szaleństwo (nie)rozumu a wstręt we "Wstręcie" Romana Polańskiego oraz "Pianistce" Elfriede Jelinek

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę szaleństwa i wstrętu w filmie Wstręt Romana Polańskiego oraz w powieści Pianistka Elfriede Jelinek. Autor, odwołując się między innymi do koncepcji Sary Ahmed, Julii Kristevy, Michela Foucault’a zwraca uwagę na relacje zachodzące między szaleństwem i wstrętem. Według autora wstręt prowadzi do szaleństwa (nie)rozumu. To przejawia się w działaniu głównych bohaterów niezdolnych przezwyciężyć nie tylko presji najbliższych, lecz również presji społeczeństwa, w którym żyją.

The article discusses the problem of madness and disgust in Polański’s film Repulsion and Jelinek’s novel The Piano Teacher. The author, by referring to concepts created by, among others, Sara Ahmed, Julia Kristeva, Michel Foucault points to the relation between madness and disgust. According to the author, disgust leads to the madness of (un)reason. This displays in the fact, that protagonists can not overcome not only their relatives’ pression, but also influence of society.
