This work is a brief collection of information concerning on the plague prevailing from VI. AD. to modern times. It shows the characteristics of the bacteria and the disease hiking routes, as well as the frequent burials of victims of the plague and its origins. It also describes the life of the population during the prevailing disease. It contains information about obtaining material for testing and trying to draw attention to the problem of identification of skeletons dating from the great plague.

Praca ta jest krótkim zbiorem informacji dotyczącym epidemii dżumy panujących od VI w. n. e do czasów współczesnych. Przedstawia charakterystykę bakterii oraz drogi wędrówek choroby, a także częste miejsca pochówków ofiar i pochodzenie zarazy. Opisuje również życie ludności podczas panującej wówczas choroby. Zawiera informacje dotyczące pozyskiwania materiału do badań oraz stara się zwrócić uwagę na problem identyfikacji szkieletów pochodzących z okresu wielkich epidemii dżumy.
