Wybrane kwestie filozoficzne w hymnach Atharwawedy

Atharvaveda, one of the four Vedas, in relation to the others still remains the least examined. This Veda is defined as containing magic formulas, spells and exorcisms. However, some hymns or their fragments include some issues that may be defined as philosophical. Magic in Atharvaveda is the magic bearing the hallmarks of original beliefs, but some philosophical ideas in these hymns were developed later. Because of the unclear time of formation and compilation of hymns of the Atharvaveda it is hard to specify whether these ideas came from this Veda by origin or were contained later. In this work, I'm dealing with such issues as brahman and atman referring to the thoughts of the Upanishads.

Atharwaweda, jedna z czterech Wed, w stosunku do pozostałych pozostaje ciągle najmniej zbadaną. Określana jest jako Weda zawierająca formuły magiczne, zaklęcia oraz egzorcyzmy. Jednakże niektóre hymny, bądź ich fragmenty, zawierają pewne kwestie, które można określać jako filozoficzne. Magia, która znajduje się w Atharwawedzie to magia nosząca znamiona wierzeń pierwotnych, jednak pewne idee filozoficzne zawarte w hymnach tej Wedy rozwinęły się później. Ze względu na niejasny czas powstawania i kompilacji Atharwawedy ciężko określić czy owe idee się z niej wywodzą, czy zostały w niej zawarte w późniejszym czasie. W swojej pracy poruszam temat m.in. doktryny brahmana i atmana, odnosząc się do myśli Upaniszad.
