Ocena przydatności Liparus glabrirostris jako gatunku referencyjnego w Karpatach Polskich (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of Liparus glabrirostris, a beetle species of the family Curculionidae, as a model for assessment of changes occurring in the natural environment, especially in cool and moist habitats overgrown by herbaceous plants with share of species of the genus Petasites in mountain valleys of Poland.The paper presents a detailed horizontal and altitudinal distribution as well as environmental and alimentary needs of the studied species in the area of Poland, based on the reference literature, museum collections and own information.Liparus glabrirostris is the species very mountainous, and local and individual localities in the highlands and lake districts area in Poland are relic. It occurs mainly in cool and moist biotopes of of herbaceous plants with Petasites species, growing near streams in mountain and piedmont areas of the Carpathians and the Sudetes Mts.The results show that Liparus glabrirostris is ideally suited as a model species for environmental monitoring studies of cool and wet habitats of mountain rivers and streams valleys in the Carpathians Mts.

Celem badań była ocena przydatności Liparus glabrirostris, gatunku chrząszcza z rodziny ryjkowcowatych, jako modelu oceny zmian zachodzących w środowisku przyrodniczym, a szczególnie w chłodnych i wilgotnych siedliskach porośniętych ziołoroślami z udziałem gatunków z rodzaju Petasites w dolinach górskich Karpat. W pracy przedstawiono szczegółowe rozmieszczenie poziome i wysokościowe oraz wymagania środowiskowe i pokarmowe badanego gatunku na obszarze Polski w oparciu o literaturę źródłową, zbiory muzealne oraz informacje własne. Liparus glabrirostris jest gatunkiem wybitnie górskim, a lokalne i pojedyncze stanowiska na wyżynach i pojezierzach w Polsce mają charakter reliktowy. Występuje on głównie w chłodnych i wilgotnych środowiskach ziołorośli nadpotokowych z udziałem gatunków roślin z rodzaju Petasites na obszarach górskich i podgórskich Karpat oraz Sudetów. Wyniki badań wskazują, że Liparus glabrirostris nadaje się znakomicie jako modelowy gatunek do badań monitoringowych środowiska przyrodniczego chłodnych i wilgotnych siedlisk dolin rzek i potoków górskich Karpat.
