Metal Tabernacles in Baroque Poland

The study is an attempt on describing metal tabernacles from the area of the baroque Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It tracks the roots of this phenomenon, it's historical development and meaning, including forms, iconography and ideology. A catalogue of preserved tabernacles is included.

Praca jest próbą opisu metalowych (krytych w całości lub bogato zdobionych metalem) tabernakulów z terenów barokowej Rzeczypospolitej. Zawiera opis genezy tego fenomenu artystycznego, jego historycznego rozwoju oraz znaczenia, z uwzględnieniem form, ikonografii oraz wymiaru ideowego, zaopatrzona jest również w katalog zachowanych dzieł.
