The influence of social theory on the judgement on the sexual assault brutality

Rozumowanie oraz tworzenie sądów stanowią nieodłączną częścią życia każdego człowieka. Do oceny sytuacji czy osób wykorzystywana jest zaktywizowana w konkretnym momencie wiedza, przyjmująca formę skryptu poznawczego. Teorie społeczne mogą służyć jako podstawa do stworzenia schematu pomagającego wyrazić własne zdanie odnośnie przebiegu wydarzeń. Jako że agresja seksualna jest jednym z głównych tematów badań naukowych dotyczących przemocy, w poniższej pracy postanowiono sprawdzić, czy istnieje związek między dokonywaną oceną brutalności czynu seksualnego, a przedstawionym wcześniej poglądem wyjaśniającym ludzkie zachowanie.

Reasoning and making judgements are the crucial parts of the life of each person. During the specific moment of judging the people or the situation there is an activation of the former knowledge which appears as a cognitive script. Social theories can be a foundation to create a scheme helping us to express our own statements about the happening incidents. Because of the fact that sexual aggression is the one of the main topics among scientific researches regarding the violence this paper attempts to investigate if there is a link between the judgement on the sexual assault brutality and the previously made judgement about explaining the humans’ behaviour.
