ANALIZA ZAWARTOŚCI ORAZ ODBIORU PROGRAMÓW TELEWIZYJNYCH „NIEZWYKŁE PRZYPADKI MEDYCZNE” I „ŻYCIE BEZ WSTYDU

Tematem niniejszej pracy badawczej jest analiza zawartości oraz odbioru dwóch programów telewizyjnych typu makeover show pt. „Niezwykłe przypadki medyczne” oraz „Życie bez wstydu”. Przedmiotem badań własnych autorka uczyniła tematykę, budowę, strukturę wyżej wymienionych programów dotyczących operacji plastycznych i zabiegów medycyny estetycznej. Autorka zbadała także powody, dla których widzowie oglądają „Niezwykłe przypadki medyczne” i „Życie bez wstydu” oraz wizerunek odbiorców tych programów. W części teoretycznej praca zawiera przegląd fachowych definicji ciała ludzkiego, obrazu ciała oraz szereg zagadnień związanych z medycyną estetyczną i chirurgią plastyczną. Autorka przyjrzała się adoracji ciała we współczesnej kulturze konsumpcyjnej oraz promowaniu tzw. kultu piękna. Opisała też sposoby ukazywania ludzkiego ciała w środkach komunikacji masowej (a zwłaszcza w telewizji). Praca podejmuje również szczegółowe kwestie dotyczące telewizji, jej licznych funkcji oraz programów z gatunku reality show, ale też makeover show.

The subject of the thesis is the analysis of the content and reception of two makeover show programs titled "Weird medical cases" and "Life without shame". The sheer subject matter and structure of the above-mentioned programs concerning plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine treatment became the major concerns of the author of the analysis. The research has also involved examining the reasons why programs "Weird medical cases" and "Life without shame" attract so many viewers and the image of the viewers itself.The theoretical part of the analysis contains a kind of review of professional definitions of the human body, body image and a number of issues related to aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery. The author has deeply analysed both the adoration of the body in contemporary consumer culture and favouring the so-called cult of beauty. The work has described ways of showing the human body in mass communication media (especially on television). The research has also taken up specific issues regarding television, its numerous functions and programs like reality and makeover shows.
