Drakula, nieśmiertelny byt pochodzący z egzotycznej Transylvanii jest źródłem inspiracji dla reżyserów filmowych już od wielu lat. Kto był bodźcem do powstania tej postaci i jak Bram Stoker przedstawił ją w swojej powieści? Co można powiedzieć o filmowych wcieleniach Drakuli, jaką jest w nich osobą? Na te pytania staram się odpowiedzieć w swojej pracy, skupiając się na trzech filmach: "Drakuli" Toda Browning'a, "Drakuli" Francisa Forda Coppoli i "Van Helsinga" Stephena Sommersa.

Dracula, an immortal being from the exotic Transylvaniahas been a source of inspiration for movie directors for years. Who was the stimulus for the creation of the character and how Bram Stoker portrayed him in his novel? What can be said about the movie versions of the Count, what kind of person is he in them? I try to answer these questions in my thesis focusing on three movies: "Dracula" by Tod Browning, "Bram Stoker's Dracula" by Francis Ford Coppola and 'Van Helsing by Stephen Sommers.
