Dawni mistrzowie : kultura humanistyczna w kręgu Akademii Krakowskiej doby renesansu
The book is a collection of eight studies devoted to Latin works written by or concerning Renaissance writers attached to the academic circle at the Krakow Academy during the Renaissance period (from late 15th to late 16th centuries); it is dealing with such writers as Conrad Celtis, Laurentius Corvinus, Paul of Krosno, Gregory of Sambor, Stanislaus Sokołowski, Andreas Schoneus, who played an active role in spreading humanist ideas both in their literary works as in their didactic practice. The book includes also editions of some texts provided with Polish translations.
