Państwa demokratyczne i gospodarki kapitalistyczne oraz ich skłonność do konfliktów międzynarodowych

Celem pracy jest znalezienie podobieństw oraz różnić pomiędzy demokracjami a gospodarkami kapitalistycznymi na polu skłonności do uczestnictwa w konfliktach międzynarodowych. Demokracja powszechnie uznawana jest za pokojowy ustrój. Głównym założeniem pracy są podobieństwa pomiędzy demokracjami i gospodarkami wolnorynkowymi. Wychodząc z założenia, że korelacja pomiędzy wolnym rynkiem a demokratycznym ustrojem jest pozytywna, następujące rozdziały będą rozważały stosunek obojga do konfliktów międzynarodowych. Celem pracy jest potwierdzenie lub odrzucenie stanowiska, mówiącego, że korelacja pomiędzy demokratycznym ustrojem a wojną i wolnym rynkiem a wojną jest negatywna. W pracy zbadane zostaną czynniki warunkujące pokojowość dla demokracji oraz kapitalizmu. Następnie zostaną one porównane, w celu odnalezienia wspólnych mianowników, różnic lub sprzeczności. Dominującymi metodami badawczymi będzie analiza literatury oraz analiza przyczynowo-skutkowa. Mniej miejsca zostanie poświęcone badaniom statystycznym.

The objective of the thesis is to find out the similarities and differences between democracy and capitalism in the field of military interstate conflict inclination. Democracy is commonly perceived as peaceful regime. The main assumption in the thesis is that democracy and capitalism have a lot in common and go hand in hand. Given the positive relation between capitalism and democracy, further chapters will investigate the attitude of both towards interstate conflict. The main objective of the thesis is to confirm or refute the statement that the relationship between capitalism and war and democracy and war is negative. The research will focus on factors accounting the inclination to pace and to military interstate conflicts. The factors will be compared to find out if there are any similarities or differences or contradictions. The research will mostly focus on descriptive as well as cause and effect analysis. Less space will be devoted to analysis of statistics. The methodology includes mostly analysis of literature. Widely recognized and esteemed indices regarding level of democratization and economic freedom will be used to find out the statistical relationship between democracy and capitalism. The results of the research conducted by other authors will be recalled to present the statistical inclination to interstate conflict.
